This Policy explains when Korva Academy will refund a subscription payment. It is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which it does not affect.
How Korva billing works
Korva charges a single recurring fee of AUD $7 per week, GST inclusive, through Stripe. There is a 1 week free trial at registration and no charge is made during it. The subscription then renews automatically each week until you cancel.
If a renewal payment fails, access continues for a 7-day grace period before it stops.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
These apply regardless of anything else on this page and cannot be excluded. If Korva has a major problem — it is unfit for its purpose, it is substantially different from what was described, or it cannot be made to work within a reasonable time — you are entitled to cancel and obtain a refund, or to seek compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. For problems that are not major, we may choose to fix the problem within a reasonable time instead.
Discretionary refunds
Beyond your ACL rights, Korva's discretionary refund position is:
- Change-of-mind window: 14 days
- Unused time on the current week: 14 days
- Extended outage: 14 days
Requests outside the ACL that these do not cover are considered individually and at our discretion.
How to request a refund
Email admin@korvaacademy.com.au from the address on your Korva account, with the approximate date of the charge and a brief reason.
We aim to respond within 30 days from the issue being raised. Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method; Stripe's own processing time then applies. There is no automated or self-service refund in the app — every refund is processed by hand in the Stripe dashboard.
Cancelling instead of refunding
Cancelling stops future charges and is immediate and self-service, from the Stripe Customer Portal linked on your dashboard. You keep access until the end of the week you have already paid for. Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account — see the Privacy Policy for deletion.
